An energetic professional speaker, lecturer, and educator, Dan presents on a variety of topics. Having facilitated hundreds of regional and national workshops, Dan delivers memorable keynote, plenary, and capstone addresses to audiences ranging from 10 to 10,000.

Background.

Dan has 25 years of expereience in public health. He was a Senior Health Educator for the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department. Involved with HIV/AIDS work since 1982, Dan served as an AIDS Prevention Specialist for AIDS Volunteers of Cincinnati. An ordained minister in the state of Ohio, Reverend Newman is a volunteer for the Women's Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky.

Certified as a "Trainer of Trainers" by the Ohio Department of Health in HIV, Substance Abuse, and Public Sex Environments, Dan is a faculty member with the Cincinnati STD/HIV Midwest Prevention Training Center. He has a certification in Prevention Communication for Diverse Populations from the National Institute of Drug Abuse. He has served as an Advisory Board Member for the CSAT Grant Program at Thunder Child Inner Tribal Treatment Center in Sheridan, WY.

Dan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Holistic Ministries and a Doctor of Divinity (DD) from the American Institute of Holistic Theology, and is Certified in Thanatology (CT) in Death, Dying, and Bereavement from ADEC - the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
